The Paraglider was launched in 2012 by Caedmon Mullin a software developer and paraglider pilot from Devon, UK. Caedmon wanted to create a site where he and other pilots could share their stories and photographs for the rest of the paragliding community to enjoy. Caedmon is a keen XC pilot who’s been lucky enough to travel and fly all over the world since learning to fly in the Pyrenees in 2008.
Judith Mole joined The Paraglider in 2013. She qualified as a hang-glider pilot in 1996 in the Peak District (UK) and took up paragliding in 2003, learning in Ager, Spain. A successful XC and only very average competition pilot, she started a popular paragliding blog (judithmole.net/blog) in 2008. She first started the paragliding podcasts the same year – when podcasting was really still in its infancy. She has since recorded more than 65 episodes, with topics ranging from XC flying, psychology, PG culture, safety, competitions, meteorology and more. Her podcasts have been downloaded more than a million times. Her recordings have been used in many paragliding schools, to teach English to French air traffic controllers and they have been lauded world-wide for their contribution to pilot education and safety.
The Paraglider is exclusively run and funded by Caedmon and Judith. We have invested a great deal in running the site and producing the content. If you value what we produce, please consider becoming a patron. You pay what you feel our work is worth and we appreciate every penny. We have lots of plans and ideas, which we cannot dedicate the time to if it means taking time out of our working lives to provide it. If you like out podcasts, articles and holiday info, please support us to do more!
